Most Used Materials in Rigid Medical Packaging: 

  • Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PETG) – Clear, tough, and easily molded for complex shapes. 
  • Amorphous Polyethylene Terephthalate  (APET) –  high impact resistance, excellent vacuum formability and good mechanical properties 
  • High-Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) – Economical, durable, and customizable 
  • Polyvinyl Chloride  (PVC) – High-strength thermoplastic material 
  • Polypropylene (PP) – Lightweight, chemical-resistant, and heat-tolerant. 
  • Polycarbonate (PC) – Impact-resistant, transparent, and suitable for sterilization. 
  • TRITAN –  a copolymer made from three monomers: dimethyl terephthalate (DMT), cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM), and 2,2,4,4-Tetramethyl-1,3-cyclobutanediol (CBDO).
