The Sterile Barrier Association (SBA) has created and validated new symbols for Sterile Barrier System (SBS) configurations. These symbols are designed to help healthcare professionals identify and differentiate between types of SBS and protective packing (PP).
This revision of the guidance document includes learnings from applying the symbols and represents the consensus of the members of the SBA.
