The Sterile Barrier Association held its Autumn Conference in Bologna, Italy, on October 14-15. This two-day event featured presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and committee sessions, with a focus on the latest developments and upcoming actions in regulatory affairs, education, sustainability, and market data related to sterile barrier systems.
Following the SBA conference, several members attended ASTM International’s F02 Committee meeting, also held in Bologna, fostering further collaboration between the SBA and ASTM.
Attendees gained insights on a range of topics, including advancements in gaseous sterilization, the impact of sterile barrier system design on usability, and emerging trends in healthcare packaging. This conference underscored SBA’s commitment to enhancing patient safety through shared expertise and continued partnership with ASTM.
